Last was a strange one in many ways!  That said, the cricket club provided a safe haven for children and parents alike to play cricket and indulge in some socially distanced drinks from the bar.

We weren't able to hold the usual cake sales and events to raise money and as ever the funds needed to maintain the club still needed to be found.

This year we could really do with your support and the easiest way to raise money - with no cost to yourself - is via EasyFundraising as explained below.  When you think we raised over £2800 from our Family Day in 2019 you can see just how much we could do with your help!

Easyfundraising - just starting out - so please join!

This is the easiest way to raise money as it costs you nothing but the Club benefits!  Simply register with Easyfundraising and select E&WHCC as your cause.  Then whenever you shop online with one of the 4000 participating retailers, they make a small contribution to our Club's funds, but it costs you and us nothing. It may seem like pennies for each transaction, but if everyone does it quickly adds up!  If you opt to have the 'donation reminder' then it pops up for every applicable retailer and you are just a click away from raising money - so please do sign up!

The funds raised are used to update our grounds machinery, the electronic scoreboard, purchase kit for the juniors as well as replace and update catering equipment.  Let's not forget the all important end of season trophies which also need engraving each year!

E&WHCC is now a registered charity so we will be able to benefit from GiftAid.

Bar/BBQs/Teas/Coffees/Cakes/Icecreams - over £800 raised in 2019

Every training night, and of course on match days the bar is open for socially distanced refreshments, crips and chocolate bars. On sunny days there might even be ice lollies!

When permitted we also sell tea & coffee and when possible cakes on junior match days and on Friday night training sessions.

Family Fun Day - over £2800 raised

The Cricket World Cup Family Day held in June 2019 was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all that is wonderful about cricket, the club and our local community.  Through stalls, games and refreshments and of course the raffle with prizes generously provided by numerous local businesses, we raised over £1600.  We are hugely grateful to Infineum for the additional £1200 they contributed to the fundraising.
