Whilst the world wrangled with the Covid pandemic in 2020, cricket at E&W Hendred provided some much needed distraction.

It really was a wonderful oasis of fun, competition and Covid-secure socialising culminating in:

- The 1st XI consolidating their position in the  OCA Division 1

- The 2nd XI finishing top of Division 5 and winning the Steve Dixon Memorial Cup

- The juniors developing their skills & experience and stepping up to fill gaps in older age categories

- Running a much appreciated variation of the All Stars (aged 6-8 years) and Dynamos (aged 8-10) years) programme

- Celebrating the end of season with a fabulous awards party.

Most importantly the number of people who are part of the club, be they players, coaches, volunteers or parents has grown and we really are thrilled to be part of a club which is at the heart of the community.

We welcome players of all ages and abilities, families or individuals, men and women, girls and boys, players and non-players.

We have worked hard over the past few years to develop a vibrant, friendly, welcoming community sports hub with beautiful facilities right on your doorstep in Mill Lane.  We have now taken on the ground at Ardington so we have even more space for matches giving everyone the opportunity to play.

If you want to get involved on the playing or non-playing side, volunteer to help preparing the ground, umpire, score or you would prefer to just sit back, enjoy a drink and watch the game,  you will always be made to feel most welcome.

For those who are interested in the Club's history a very interesting recount can be found here.

The Club's calendar is the most up to date source of training, matches and social events - so keep an eye on it!
